Translation Course
Designed to teach translation skills between the
Japanese and English languages. Course syllabus
at the intermediate stage includes politics, economics,
science, environmental issues,
but Beginners Course students must first tackle materials
such as music and media studies which include film,
music and art.
In English to Japanese classes, the teacher
concentrates on the methodology of producing good
quality texts in Japanese. Native English speakers will
check students Japanese to English texts for accuracy,
grammar and vocabulary.
The syllabus is designed to enable students to gradually
improve the speed and accuracy of their translations
during the class.
This course is recommended to students
who wish to become in-house or freelance translators.

Beginners - Intermediate
Japanese to English/English to Japanese
Students begin by translating short sentences to create fluent English or Japanese.
By the end of the course students are expected to be able to pace themselves effectively when writing translations.

In general, class times will follow the published schedules and we will always inform students in the event of any changes.
